I love survive-like games and the style and mechanics of this one are really interesting.
Unfortunately the game really slowed down as the enemies just seem to spawn in unlimited amounts and eventually made the game unplayable but before then I had a good time.
I like the art and the style is really cool. The creatures are interesting and very shadowy/wispy which I thought was cool. The crafting screen was a bit noisy but wasn't too hard to figure out.
I enjoyed mixing the ingredients to get buffs it was a nice twist on just choosing what upgrade you got in other survive-like game.
I'm not really sure why I was lighting the lamps throughout the game though? Seemed kinda pointless?
Still it was a nice game and if the lag was fixed I'd really like to get into it more to see how far I could go cos I really loved the style and the systems you got going on here!
Very nice, I was confused about the potions initially but got a hang of it. Game played well. until to many enemies on screen but that could be a browser limitation more then anything.
Game all looks, feel and plays together. the art and sound match the play.
Only wish for me power i guess, due to the amount of enemies, maybe potions help that but bring me the chaos.
I enjoy the sound design and art. The twist of crafting potions to make upgrades is very good choice. I got to a point where shadows (I think big shadow monsters) basically cover the whole screen I was not quite sure what to do about that xD
roaming around the screen feels good, but having more mobility would feel better when getting surrounded by large hordes of enemies, and having control of when to fire my attack would be much more satisfying
you can craft speed potions in the game to do this! play around with the alchemical things and it lets you craft different potions. one of thems a speed pot that when made enough times lets you zoom around.
I enjoyed the idea of harnessing alchemy and potions as power-ups. I like the setting and the idea of lighting torches, but I couldn't get to the second or third because of the performance drop issue after a couple of minutes. Did you create custom assets and music for the game. I liked how it all came together!
Everything is custom made. We had ideas to make the power-up system even more in depth, but time was not on our side on that one. Very happy to hear that you still like it ^^! If you are having performance issues, you can try to activate hardware acceleration in your browser, hope that helps :3
I loved the vampire survivors-inspired gameplay. I particularly enjoyed the bigger resolution and wider field of view compared to other games of the genre, but my FPS started to drop as the enemies spawned. Beside the performance drop, I love the aesthetics. Congratulations on the game!
If you have time, check out our submission to this jam! We would love to know your impressions: https://mechtomato.itch.io/azar
Very glad you enjoyed it <3 . We are aware of the FPS issue, but had to little time to fix it at the end. Some friends found a workaround though. For them the game ran fine when they activated hardware acceleration in their browser. Maybe that helps :3 . I will definitly check out your game aswell!

Ahh, that's really cool, I guess I just didn't get that far. I like the idea a lot
The game starts to lag rather badly with a lot of enemies on screen, but it has a nice mood to it
